BROKEN LENSES

Growing up, I took pleasure in outdoor activities. I would use the water hose as my own personal water fountain to avoid being told to stay inside. Also, playing with toys that didn't require a crash course before enjoying it. Things like the kaleidoscope. It's made in the shape of a paper towel roll, and it has lenses on each end, one is transparent, and the other is a prism. While looking in the lens that is clear the object is rotated. With every turn, something can be discovered. Even though the glass is flawed the light is able to penetrate and beams through. A vibrant light show is displayed. Like the lens of a kaleidoscope, the twists and turns of life have the ability to blur our outlook. Those things tend to shatter beliefs and break spirits, potentially leading to dark roads. The amazing thing is God will use every situation, good or bad, for our benefit. The Bible tells us that everything in life works for our purpose. Romans 8:28. We were created for a purpose. Therefore, in the midst of that darkness, God illuminates His light. He holds the power to take our brokenness and build us spiritually, mentally, and physically. We can't allow distractions to distract us from the plan He has predestined for us. God gifts His children the capability to have the capacity to hold onto hope in a hopeless state. Everything will not always be perfect. So hope is essential and it increases faith. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1 NKJV. As believers, we have the ability to overcome as long as we trust Him even when we can't see Him. There is power in your perspective. The things happening in the natural realm are not evidence of what's happening in the spiritual realm. Trials and tribulations have the potential to become distracting, but God uses it as our development. The bridge to Him and His promises is having faith. It shifts how things are perceived.
It's easy to become overwhelmed by current circumstances. It is important to see until you see. The Creator uses setbacks to set us up for a blessing. Jeremiah, a prophet in the bible, pen a letter to the people of Israel who were held in captivity, which told them to prepare for the promises of God. Even in the state of their imprisonment, He promised to enlarge their territory as long as they would seek Him. Also, He commanded them not to be deceived by what they were going through. We can't be persuaded to disregard the word in our hearts because of the situation we see with our eyes. It is important that with we rely on God's track record and know it all will work for our good. Everything is purposed for our purpose. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV. God is all knowing. He created us and we are His creation. We must trust and believe everything we go through is for our growth. Nothing happens to us by happenstance. When faced with opposition, standing on the promises of God births renewed insight.
Soulful Gems:
We see what we chose to focus on. There is power in our perspective.
Pray:
Lord, thank you for the lessons I have learned from life's distractions I have faced. God, grant me the ability to see until I see. I pray I don't allow trials and tribulations to cloud my view of who you are. I trust and believe nothing happens by accident and it all is necessary for my growth. I pray I open my heart so that I can hear you clearly. I will not allow what I go through to cloud my vision of you. You have been so faithful, and I am truly grateful for all you have done. Thanks for keeping me. I ask it all in your Son Jesus' name, AMEN!
